If you’ve already installed the latest version of Office with Office 365 on five computers that you use and you want to install Office on a sixth computer, you can do that by first deactivating an installation on one of your current computers.

On the Office page, select the required Language, and then click Install.

Note: Your Aston email address may already be populated.

The OneDrive for Business sync app that is downloaded from the Office 365 webpage is not compatible with the installed versions of Microsoft Office on University computers.

Please do not add files to this folder that you do not want to be visible to all other staff and students.

Adding files to the “Shared with Everyone” folder will make that file accessible by everyone at Aston.

Your OneDrive will be deleted when your Aston account is removed after leaving the university.

Select Microsoft Office from the search results. Alternatively, you can tap the search icon in the upper right corner of the Start screen and enter Microsoft Office in the search box.

We cannot locate or retrieve lost, deleted or corrupted files from OneDrive for Business. On the Start screen, scroll to the right, and then tap the Office tile.

You will be taken to the Office 365 LJMU sign in page where you enter your LJMU password. Depending on which browser you are using you may get some ‘can the browser remember your password’ questions (we always advise saying no to them).

Start a web browser of your choice and go to the Office 365 logon webpage.

To uninstall any Office programs follow the procedures relevant to your computer. Once any software is removed we recommend restarting your computer.

Also look for trial versions of Office that may have been bundled with your computer when it was new and remove those. Before you start, make sure that any previous versions of Microsoft Office are removed from your computer.
